Update- 06\/28\/24<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update on my recovery.<\/p>\n

I can't believe it's been about four months since my crash. I have been determined to get full range of motion back in both my shoulder and my wrist. Everything is still pretty tight and slow moving, but I am thankful to be working with Dr. Navarro and team twice a week. My main focus has been on my shoulder so I can get back to handling day-to-day tasks with ease.<\/p>\n<\/div>

I am truly thankful for the massive amount of support that I have received since my injury. Your encouragement has been a vital part of my recovery, and I couldn't have come this far without all of you!<\/p>\n

Update- 05\/14\/24<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Hey guys! Just dropping in with another update on my recovery journey.<\/p>\n

It's been three weeks since the pins came out of my wrist, and I'm thrilled to share that I've made significant progress in regaining range of motion. Dr. Navarro and I have been putting in the work to improve ROM in both my shoulder and wrist. Thankfully, we're seeing progress with muscle activation in my shoulder and beginning to rebuild strength. I'm eager to get back on my bike eventually, but I know there is still much healing to be done before I can.<\/p>\n<\/div>

A massive thank you to everyone who has been by my side throughout my recovery. It's been tougher and more financially straining than I anticipated. I'm immensely grateful for the support from R2R, all of you, and of course, Dr. Navarro. Your support means the world to me! \u2764\ufe0f\ud83e\udef6\ud83c\udffc<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Update- 04\/23\/24<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Last week, I visited Dr. Guerrero for a check-up after sending him some photos of my pin sites, which he found concerning. He advised removing the cast and extracting the pins, suspecting an infection, but fortunately, everything was fine. We opted to keep a brace for an additional week, and I'll have the pins removed on April 24th. As for my shoulder, while I'm regaining range of motion and strength, it's still quite sore and painful, and I'm unable to lift it over my head.<\/p>\n<\/div>

I won't be certain about its condition until I regain full wrist mobility. I've been diligently working with Navarro and his team to improve my muscle strength and range of motion. In the meantime, I've been focusing on my canopy business to cover medical expenses. If anyone needs a canopy or advertising materials, I would love to help them out. Update- 04\/01\/24<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Hello to all my friends, family, and sponsors in the moto industry. I just want to give you all an update on my recovery progress.<\/p>\n

On Friday, March 29, I went to Dr. Guerrero in Southern California to get a check-up on my wrist. After seeing the x-rays, it makes sense why I am in so much pain. I did a number on it. The doctor said that the surgeon in Florida did a really good job, which was so great to hear! Everything looks really good. They ended up cutting out the stitches I had on the top and bottom of my hand. The pins in my wrist will stay in for a total of eight weeks. He decided to throw me in a hard cast and to come back to get that taken off and pull the pins out. After the pins come out, I can start therapy.<\/p>\n<\/div>

My shoulder was also broken in the accident. I'm working hard in physical therapy, with Dr. Steve Navarro, and I am getting a little bit more range of motion each time I go, which is great. However, the pain from the injury is intense, so it\u2019s going slower than I would like.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Thank you to all of you for your support. Right now, I don\u2019t have health insurance, so I\u2019m paying for every appointment out of pocket. With not being able to race, it\u2019s putting a strain on the finances. With your support, you are enabling Road 2 Recovery to keep up my truck and insurance payments for me. Hey guys! I just want to start off with saying thank you so much for all the support and love I have received these past couple weeks. Through times like this, I\u2019m so thankful to be able to have the support system I do. \ud83e\udef6\ud83c\udffc<\/p>\n<\/div>

Last Friday, I had a follow-up appointment for my shoulder. Doctors said with how the scapula is broken, surgery is not an option to fix it. Since I have lack of motion and strength in my shoulder, I will need to get an MRI for further evaluation. I am waiting for a follow up on my reconstructed wrist as well. As for my ribs, back, and lung, they are slowing healing. There is not much I can do, as the doctor says they need time to heal. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay in Florida, so I am heading back to California to find a doctor who accepts my insurance.<\/p>\n<\/div>

As far as pain goes, I\u2019m still in a lot of pain. I am struggling with being able to sleep, but I am hopeful that it will continue to get better. Right now, I have no other choice but to take everything day by day. It\u2019s gonna be a long road. On March 3, 2024, professional Supercross racer Devin Harriman sustained severe injuries during a qualifying practice session at Daytona Supercross. Devin was involved in a high-impact crash when another rider landed on him, resulting in multiple serious injuries, including a dislocated and fractured wrist, several broken ribs, a fractured scapula, a fractured collarbone, a fractured T5 vertebra, and a head injury.<\/p>\n<\/div>

<\/a><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Following the accident, Devin was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital in Daytona for assessment and treatment. He underwent immediate surgery on his wrist to address the fracture. However, the need for surgery on his shoulder remains uncertain as medical professionals continue to evaluate his condition. As swelling subsides and Devin's healing progresses, doctors will gain a clearer understanding of the necessity for surgical intervention.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Currently staying in Daytona, FL, Devin awaits clearance to return home to California, where he will undergo further evaluation by sports doctors. Despite being covered by insurance, the financial implications of Devin's hospitalization and extensive physical therapy are expected to be significant. Adding to this challenge is Devin's inability to work during the recovery process, placing additional strain on his finances.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Devin's unwavering work ethic and determination, evident in his racing career, now drive his preparations for the challenging recovery ahead.
