ENTER TO WIN<\/a><\/h1>\n\nTHE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON 11\/01\/21<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\nLetter from Destry: Charlotte’s\u00a0breast cancer has\u00a0returned\u00a0and\u00a0this time has\u00a0spread to her bones. In addition, she broke her back due to brittle bones not long after her diagnosis. It\u2019s now been 5-months\u00a0since\u00a0her accident, and a little less than that since starting her chemo treatments. She\u2019s currently doing a lot better with her back, and has relearned to walk, and can now take care of herself which is awesome!\u00a0She\u00a0finished her main chemo treatment, but the cancer hasn\u2019t fully disappeared so they\u2019re keeping her on a three-week maintenance cycle to see if that helps. Unfortunately, she wasn\u2019t able to complete her last treatment due to results from her last echocardiogram, so now she\u2019s having to see a cardiologist to make sure her heart is\u00a0able to handle\u00a0the treatment before we move forward.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\nThe good news is we have her scheduled to go to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas at the end of October for a second opinion and she\u2019s staying positive and working towards rebuilding her strength. This is where I went\u00a0for my treatments\u00a0and we feel it\u2019s the best place to go in the world! They have a lot of trials and advanced medicine that can possibly help her out. Of course, we\u2019ve also had an amazing support system and\u00a0we are so overwhelmed and thankful to\u00a0everyone that has stepped up\u00a0in so many ways\u00a0to help. Our kids and family have gone above and beyond to help take care of her\u00a0during this time. In addition, she broke her back due to brittle bones not long after her diagnosis. It\u2019s now been 5-months\u00a0since\u00a0her accident, and a little less than that since starting her chemo treatments. She\u2019s currently doing a lot better with her back, and has relearned to walk, and can now take care of herself which is awesome!\u00a0She\u00a0finished her main chemo treatment, but the cancer hasn\u2019t fully disappeared so they\u2019re keeping her on a three-week maintenance cycle to see if that helps.
